Specialized Elemental mods must match the element of the armor, and are associated broadly with weapon types, ie fusion rifles and rocket launchers are solar weapons. General armor mods, including the Seasonal Artifact Mods you get after unlocking and leveling the artifact up, can go onto any armor piece of a given type (such as reloading mods on arm pieces). There are 2 types of armor mods: General and Elemental.
Both people above are a bit wrong - close, but not really accurate.Īrmor elemental type does determine what type of specialized mods you can slot into it.
